The German giants have finished their April with a title win,…
Dortmund continued their fine form in the Bundesliga with an outstanding display against their local rivals, the Royal Blues of Schalke 04. After coming off a close defeat against Juventus in the Champions League, Dortmund responded with arguably their best performance in what was otherwise a very inconsistent season.
Marco Reus, Pierre Aubumayeng, and Henrikh Mikhitaryan scored the goals that put the German outfit into 10th place. Jurgen Klopp’s side out shot the opposition 31 to 3, with 13 being on target for the hosts while none was shot on target by the visitors. However the scoring was only opened at the 78th minute, however the floodgates quickly opened afterwards, scoring in the 79th and 86th minutes as well.
Now having won their last four games in the German League, Dortmund look to continue their win streak against a very weak Hamburg SV. They will look to make up 8 points to maintain their status as a Champions League club throughout the remainder of the Bundesliga calendar.
